Sites of the Isthmus

The Eastern Korinthia Survey documented a thick carpet of artifacts in Corinth’s eastern territory, especially on the Isthmus between Corinth and Kenchreai.  This continuous pattern of settlement for certain periods (Roman) can best be described as “suburban.”  The photos shown in the subdirectories of this section highlight some of the best preserved sites of the ancient period.
